Add Transitions Without Preview
If you drag a transition into the timeline and you still see the preview content instead of the footage you’ve placed the transition above, make sure you have prepared the timeline correctly.
Can’t see the Source Patching indicator for V1? Open footage in the source monitor in order for the source patching indicators to appear.
If you’ve followed the steps linked above and are still seeing the preview content in the timeline, your source patch numbers may be out of order.
Follow the following steps to fix the issue:
1. Delete the previously applied transition layers from the timeline.
2. Click hold and drag the source patching indicators on the left until they are in the correct order. (matching the indicators on the right)
3. Drag and drop the transition into the timeline again, aligning the transition cut with the cut of the footage in the timeline.
